Always expressing some kind of thanks a wave, a word, or a hug for those who show me a kindness. But then thinking on what you have said and microscoping this, i find that generally i take things and people as how they present. I am sure however that there are those out there who merely go about performing acts which require some sort of gratitudal reward, to boost their ego. I think also that it is the whole "do unto others" bit, that we are taught as children, that makes some of us hang out for the thank you, that is thought of as ettiquette, or common curtesy. So for those who do not express the thanks for these curtesy's are the same people who would not perform them for others.
????Juleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09401720646627554233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15560139.post-61255866478717915692008-01-14T23:13:00.000-05:002008-01-14T23:13:00.000-05:00I regularly thank the big U for my life - not out ...I regularly thank the big U for my life - not out of guilt but out of gushing gratitude. I feel so lucky - that there's nothing I could possibly DO to deserve the blessings I enjoy.

In the mundane of daily life, when I'm riding my bike, I make sure to smile and wave at car drivers who really do come to a stop at stop signs, or who refrain from cutting me off at turns... Frankly, the way people drive in this city (without regard for how they affect other people), there aren't too many opportunities. Is 'entitlement' the opposite of 'gratitude?'Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15560139.post-81703811580080228712007-12-29T07:50:00.000-05:002007-12-29T07:50:00.000-05:00True gratitude is the key to all treasures of univ...True gratitude is the key to all treasures of universe.
